Research
Our first study.
Can patients be screened for social needs through a short voice conversation?
Food insecurity, unstable housing, transportation and utility needs shape health, but screening for them is inconsistent and often relies on long forms. With an academic health-system partner, and with approval from an institutional review board (IRB), we’re studying voice-based screening with consenting participants.

Reviewed by physicians.
Physicians review every agent version before it reaches a study participant.
What we’re asking.
- Can patients complete social-needs screening by voice, and do they prefer it to a form?
- How closely do the agent’s results match a standard screening questionnaire?
- Does the agent recognize and escalate urgent safety concerns?
- Do care teams find the summaries useful for connecting patients to resources?
How we evaluate.
Simulate
Synthetic patients with varied needs, speaking styles and edge cases stress-test each agent version.
Review
Physicians review transcripts and scores. Problems block release.
Study
Approved versions are studied with consenting participants under IRB oversight.
